It is mindboggling how the world has changed in such a short period. One thing that has not changed is the need to take care of ourselves and our loved ones. While we take precautions to prevent contracting the Coronavirus, we cannot forget about other essential elements of staying healthy. Most of us are doing our part to stay home, but that does not mean you should do so at the expense of other healthcare needs.
We are worried that many patients are neglecting needed care during this time, and want to reassure you that we remain here for all of your healthcare needs. We have taken abundant measures to keep our facilities clean. The last thing we want is for you to come to the doctor’s office and get sick! This is not only important for our patients but our staff as well.
So far, we have had zero cases of COVID-19 among our providers and staff. We have diligently been screening patients with possible symptoms, and when necessary, performed Coronavirus testing in our parking lot while the patients remained in their vehicle. To date, we have completed 75 tests with only eight positive results. We have not had a positive test since March 25, 2020, and we are seeing a decrease in symptomatic patients.
It is vital that you feel safe when coming to our office for any of your healthcare needs. Historically, you may have experienced delays in getting an appointment with your busy provider. Because of the current situation, you do not have to worry about getting seen quickly. But, if you are still apprehensive about venturing out, all of our providers can see you virtually through our telemedicine platform called Solv.
Telemedicine works much like Facetime but takes place in a secure and private environment. All you need is a camera-equipped device (i.e., smartphone, iPad, laptop, or camera-equipped computer), and a WIFI connection. You can access Solv by going to any of our websites and clicking on the red Virtual Visit button in the top right corner.

Here are some helpful tips when using telemedicine:
- Make sure you have a good WIFI connection
- Allow SOLV to have camera and microphone access
- Patients with iPhones must have updated to the latest software (patients can go to settings > general > software update)
- Try to connect 5 minutes before your scheduled appointment time
- You will receive via text message or email a link to join the virtual visit
- Please be patient as the provider may be finishing up with their previous patient
We will do our best to accommodate your requested appointment time. A staff member will reach out to you to confirm your provider’s availability.
Give us a call at 919-781-7500 if you need assistance. We are happy to help any way we can!
